No Rest for the Wicked- [3-16] It's 30 hours before Dean's deal with the crossroads demon is up and Dean, Sam and Bobby are searching for Lilith, who holds the contract. They discover her location and Sam summons Ruby for help despite Dean's protests. Ruby warns them they aren't ready to fight Lilith yet but they steal her knife and depart for New Harmony, Indiana. In a battle to the death, Sam, Dean and Bobby take on Lilith and all her demons in a last ditch effort to save Dean's life. But despite their efforts, Dean is sent to hell...

~Special~ Hell is shown and it resembles the hell shown in the Hellraiser films (I.e. The chains through the body)~


Lazarus Rising- [4-1] It's four months later and Dean wakes in a pine box. He's been freed from Hell. He has a joyful reunion with Sam and Bobby, but it isn't long before the three wonder what exactly pulled Dean from Hell and what it will want in return. And it is revealed what exactly Sam has been up to over the time. Dean is then forced to confront a higher power...

~Special~ In this episode Dean discovers that an angel (Castiel) pulled him from hell and it is revealed that Sam has been training his powers with Ruby~


Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester- [4-2] Sam and Dean are stunned when the spirits of Meg, Ronald, and Agent Henricksen appear and accuse the Winchesters of failing them. Although rattled, the brothers must pull together to save Bobby, who is too crippled with guilt to fight off the angry ghosts of the young children he couldn't save...

~Special~ In this episode the brothers discover what Lilith's goals are and exactly what Castiel's game is~


In the Beginning- [4-3] Castiel transpots Dean back in time to Lawrence, Kansas to stop an event from happening. Dean ends up running into a young John Winchester and Mary who have just fallen in love. Dean begins to enjoy the time with his parents and newfound grandfather, who may be hiding a secret that is key to Sam and Dean's entire predicament. After several strange attacks, Dean discovers that Azazel (the yellow-eyed demon) is present and exactly how he is connected to Mary. In one last fight to save his parents, Dean must decide whether or not he can go back to his old life...

~Special ~ In this episode, Mary's connection to Azazel is revealed. Plus, Mary is super hot~


Metamorphosis- [4-4] Sam and Dean discover that Jack Montgomery, a family man, is turning into a Rugaru, a creature that starts as a human but changes into a flesh-eating monster. The people who are infected don't understand what is happening until they turn into cannibals and eat another person. Understanding what it is like to be a victim of a twisted destiny, Sam believes he can reason with Jack and convince him to control his urges. Dean however, doesn't think Jack's animalistic behavior can be subdued and decides the only honorable thing to do is to shoot him...

~Special ~ In this episode Dean discovers that Sam has further developed his demonic powers~


Monster Movie- [4-5] Dean and Sam investigate several murders at Oktoberfest. The first victim was found with bite marks on her neck, much like what a vampire would leave, while the second victim has wounds that look like a werewolf attack. After a mummy rises from his crypt, Dean determines that a shape-shifter demon is terrorizing the town as iconic monsters from the old Hollywood movies...

~Special~ The entire episode is shot in black and white- oldschool visuals and all. Also, Dean loses his virginity. For the second time. LOL~


Yellow Fever- [4-6] Sam and Dean investigate the mysterious deaths of several men who apparently dropped dead of fright. They visit one of the victims in the morgue, and Dean becomes infected with the illness which starts as a general anxiety, then moves on to full-blown terror that eventually stops the heart. Sam and Bobby must find the root of the disease before Dean dies and is sent back to Hell...

~Special~ This was perhaps the funniest episode of Supernatural. Plus, it lead and erie look into Sam's demonic future and showed Dean's fear of returning to Hell. Also, Jenson Ackels (Dean) sang "Eye of the Tiger". LOL- Classic~


It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester- [4-7] It's a few days before Halloween and Sam and Dean investigate two mysterious deaths in a small town. The brothers find hex bags and deduce a witch is sacrificing people to summon a dangerous demon named Samhain. Castiel arrives in town and tells Sam and Dean the freeing of Samhain is one of the Seals that will lead to freeing Lucifer, so Castiel has brought a specialist angel named Uriel to smite the entire town...

~Special~ another angel is met (Uriel) and Sam is warned about using his powers. Sam crosses to a darker side when he uses his demonic abilities to stop Samhain. Dean learns that Castiel isn't just black and white, that he has hopes and is insecure with his decisions~


Wishful Thinking- [4-8] Sam and Dean investigate a small town where the wishing well really works. A teddy bear comes to life, someone wins the lottery and the town geek gets a hot girlfriend. The brothers realize that while everyone is happy now, the end result will be disastrous...

~Special~ Sam confronts Dean about what he remembers from hell. Dean later reveals that he remembers everything and that it is too painful and too gruesome for words. There is also a hilarious, suicidal Teddy-Bear. Yeah, LOL~


I Know What You Did Last Summer- [4-9] Ruby tells Sam and Dean that a powerful demon named Alastair is searching for a girl named Anna who can hear the angels' conversations. The three set out to find Anna but once they do, Alastair attacks them and Ruby escapes with the girl. Believing they were set up, Dean lashes out at Sam for trusting Ruby, so Sam tells him what happened during those months Dean was in Hell and how Ruby saved his life. Castiel and Uriel return and demand to be taken to Anna but not for the reason Dean thinks...

~Special~ With a new Demon on the move for Anna, who could possibly be a key to winning the war, this episode introduced some new important things. Like when Sam had sex with Ruby. Yeck...~


Heaven and Hell- [4-10] Anna remembers her past and Sam and Dean finally understand why Castiel and Uriel want her dead. However, they disagree with the angels' orders and try to help Anna restore an important part of her past so she can be saved. Meanwhile, Alastair and his demons continue to close in on Anna and the brothers.

~Special~ A final confrontation between the Angels and Demons over Anna (Who turns out to be an angel) goes down and Dean and Sam are caught in the middle. Dean tells Sam his connection to Alastair and how Hell changed him. Anna also gets her angelic grace back. She also gets boinked by Dean. Way to go!~


Family Remains- [4-11] Sam and Dean investigate the appearance of a young female ghost in an abandoned house, but things become more complicated when a family moves in. The brothers fail to get the family to leave, but when the son is kidnapped though the walls, they look to Sam and Dean to rescue the boy.

~Special~ Dean continues his journey to find redemption and try to redeem himself after his time in hell. He talks to Sam about his feelings and how he actually started to "enjoy" killing others on the pyre. This episode also features a nasty rat scene and two incest children. Yechh!~


Criss Angel Is A Douchebag- [4-12] A mysterious death draws Sam and Dean to a town full of old-school magicians. Their investigation leads them to Charlie, Jay and Vernon, three friends who were famous magicians in their day but have now been replaced by flashier, younger magicians. One of them has made a deal to acquire real magical powers, but the price was extremely high. Sam and Dean must figure out a way to reverse the spell before others are harmed.

~Special~ Sam sees himself in the future, in a way, and is determined to stop it. He realizes that he must continue working with his demonic powers in order to stop Lilith, who has borken at least half of the Lucifer-containing-seals. The episode also featured a cool story about black magic and some intresting effects. Not to mention the intresting magicians~


Afterschool Special- [4-13] A mysterious death finds Sam and Dean returning to one of the high schools they briefly attended while traveling around the country with their dad. They go undercover to investigate the string of murders. But flashbacks reveal that the short time they were at the school resulted in a dramatic effect on the future. The case causes them to remember their time at the school and how Sam was picked on by the school bully while Dean was Mr. Popular.

~Special~ This episode featured a look into Sam and Dean's pasts and difficult childhoods. This episode helps show how Sam became the man he is currently and how he effected the life of the episode's villian. A very cool end effect in which the ghost is singed into ash. Very cool. "The whistle makes me their god."~


Sex and Violence- [4-14] Sam and Dean enter a small town in Iowa, where three men have inexplicably beaten their wives to death. The guys realize that behind the murders is a Siren, a creature that can take different forms and desperately needs love and compels people to destroy themselves as a show of devotion. The Siren eventually puts Sam and Dean under their spell and pits the two brothers against each other in a fight to the death...

~Special~ So, this episode featured an intresting take on siren lore and was very intresting with it. Dean finds out about Sam's dealings in the dark (Ruby). The two tell each other their feelings; Dean tells Sam off about the Demonic hunting, while Sam tells dean to get over the time that he faced in hell. "So you spent a little time in hell...Boo-ohh"~


Death Takes a Holiday- [4-15] Sam and Dean investigate a small town where people are cheating death. They discover the Reapers have gone missing so they turn to Pamela for help. She sends them into the spiritual world to find answers and they come face to face with Alastair, who has been kidnapping all the Reapers in order to break another seal.

~Special~The brothers battle Alastair, who is trying to kill Reapers and break the seal. Through ghosty-tricks and with Castiel's help they stop him and save one of the reapers. Sam's power is stronger and through fatal words from a dieing ally, he is warned of the dangers of his current path.~


On The Head of a Pin- [4-16] Someone found Lucifer’s sword and is using it to kill angels. Castiel and Uriel have captured Alastair and ask Dean to use the torturing skills he learned in Hell to extract information from him so they can stop the murders. Sam is concerned Dean can’t handle the job but Dean agrees to do it. However, when Alastair reveals some shocking information, Dean’s world is shattered.

~Special~ So much biblical mythology! Dean finds out that he broke the first seal, Uriel betrays the angels, Sam grows darker and becomes powerful enough to actually kill demons, and Castiel questions god's will and goes with Anna down a path of disobediance~


It's a Terrible Life- [4-17] Dean and Sam are living very normal and separate lives. Dean is a corporate man who enjoys health drinks and listens to news radio vs. rock stations. He works at a company called Sandover Bridge & Iron Company alongside Sam who is in Tech Support. It seems as if the two do not know each other. However, after co-workers start committing suicide at an alarming rate, the two find themselves working side by side to solve the murders.

~Special~ A new Angel shows Sam and Dean that they are meant to be hunters by having them vanquish a ghost, but without the meories of their monster-hunting exploits. It's a pretty intresting episode that really shows Dean that he is on the right path~

The Monster at the End of This Book- [4-18] (fka "Stranger Than Fiction") Sam and Dean are shocked to discover a series of comic books titled "Supernatural" that accurately detail their lives as demon hunters. They track down the writer, Carver Edlund, who explains he has visions of the brothers that he then turns into comic books. Chuck reveals that Lilith is coming and she has a plan for Sam.

~Special~ The Winchesters break through the fourth wall! A very funny and good episode. Chuck turns out to be a prophet of the lord and warns the brothers about Lilith, who is running scared and anxious to stop her apocalyptic mission. Castiel warns Dean about Archangels. Chuck sees one last vision about the future and tries to tell Sam and Dean, but Zakariya forbids him from doing so."I am the prophet! Chuck..."~


Jump The Shark- [4-19] A 19-year-old boy named Adam calls Sam and Dean looking for John Winchester, claiming to be his son. Dean and Sam meet Adam, assuming he’s a demon trying to lure then into a trap. However, they find out that John was indeed the boy’s father and Adam tells them of his “normal” upbringing, which infuriates Dean.

~Special~ More explored into the Winchester mytholog Both brothers react differently to their meetings and Sam is more agressive in his nature. The end monsters were pretty intresting~


The Rapture- [4-20] Castiel appears to Dean in a dream and says he has something important to tell him but they need to meet somewhere private. Dean and Sam go searching for Castiel but instead find Jimmy, Castiel’s human vessel, who has only a spotty recollection of being an angel. Jimmy wants to return to his family and normal life, but Dean and Sam are concerned about his safety.

~Special~ Angelic Possesing is explored as well as "Jimmy's" past and life. Sam takes a darker turn when he devours demon blood in front of Dean and Castiel.~


When the Levee Breaks- [4-21] Dean and Bobby lock Sam in Bobby's panic room so he can detox from the demon blood. However, as Bobby sees more seals are being broken he tells Dean they should let Sam out to help them fight the impending apocalypse. Dean disagrees and goes to Castiel for help. Sam and Dean have a big blowout confrontation.


Lucifer Rising- [4-22] The apocalypse is coming, and Sam and Dean prepare for the fight in very different ways. Sam joins Ruby on a final run to kill Lilith, while Castiel and Zachariah tell Dean it's time to play his part in stopping Lucifer.

Lazarus is the guy that Jesus brought back from the dead, hence the quote "Lazarus Risen", it's something along the lines of "oh my god" . It was once a widely used phrase.

Nevertheless, the episode will still most likely be awesome.

And it was. Dracula was hilarious. The episode's premise really made no sense but it was funny. The Mummy was cool but the Wolfman should have been shown more. "Is there garlic on that?" Dracula says to pizza-man. "Did you order garlic?" pizza-man says. Dracula back away in fear "No!". "Look, can you just pay for the pizza?" Pizza-man says. Dracula nods, "Yes of course". Dracula takes out cupon, "But I have a cupon." LOL- classic Dracula.

Yeah, last episode was pretty good. However, I felt that it built up to a cool ending but it wa a bit of a let down...

I liked the episode. I don't think it was that much of a let down. Though I knew that Sam was going to use his mind powers. I like the zombies. And Samhain was cool too. Plus we're seeing a new side to the angels.

Last episode- "Wishful Thinking". Meh?...I really don't know what to say. The teddy-bear was hilarious and the super-powered kid was cool. It's just...it was kind o0f lame. It's annoying that they keep resorting to "weekly monster hunts" when there is a really cool storyline that needs to be addressed. (I.e. Angels vs. Lucifer) It was an okay episode. Though, not enough focus on the nerd...I think they should of had more development with him. But, Dean remembering hell was a plus. So yeah...it was okay.

It's the mainstream story line's that loses the majority of their fans. It was the same thing that happened to X-Files; when they switched from weekly mythology/supernatural story's, to "what's up with Mulder?" they lost a lot of people.
Many fans were displeased that they switched the format of Supernatural to have almost every episode engrossed in a lengthy story arch.
