The genre of imaginative fiction has been chosen as the focus for the 4th Annual Young Filmmakers Festival. With the theme "Out of This World", filmmakers ages 6-17 are encouraged to make films that explore scientific knowledge and speculation and to submit and original three-to-five-minute digital film or animated movie. All types of film will be accepted, including live-action comedies, dramas, claymation, stop-go and graphic animations, flash/cartoon animation and machinima. Films must not exceed five-minutes in length and meet the standards for a PG rating. Special awards are given for music videos, documentaries, and commercials. The deadline to submit is Friday, May 1. Winning films will be honored at an award's ceremony and shown at a special public premiere.
